MIND GROWTH EDUCATION PARTNERS WITH REFORESTATION NON-PROFIT ONE TREE PLANTED

“One for One” Initiative Dedicated To Planting Trees Around The World

VANCOUVER ISLAND, December 2nd, 2021 – Mind Growth Education, a global mission-driven EduTech company, today announced a partnership with One Tree Planted that aims to plant 25,000 trees for landscape restoration in 2022. One Tree Planted will plant a tree for every 25% of the reading challenge a student completes. By the end of each reading adventure/challenge, each student will have planted 4 trees. Imagine what we can achieve as a community!

“Working with One Tree Planted is a great fit for Mind Growth Education,” said Mind Growth Education founder and Chief Executive Officer, Isabelle Baril. “Social and environmental impacts, as well sustainability are at the core of our business model, and while we make a tremendous impact helping develop literate, compassionate, culturally aware, future leaders with the tools to ignite change on a global scale, it’s great to have another way to give back and help the environment.”

The objectives of this new partnership include:

  • Supporting global reforestation efforts
  • Empowering consumers with sustainable actions
  • Developing literate, compassionate, culturally aware, future leaders with the tools to ignite change on a global scale
  • Raising awareness about the importance of ecosystem restoration

Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage.

This partnership is designed to be simple for readers to get involved in global reforestation. One Tree Planted will plant a tree for every 25% of the reading challenge a student completes. By the end of each reading adventure/challenge/reading log fundraiser, each student will have planted 4 trees. Imagine what we can achieve as a community of readers! The trees are planted by local partner organizations and community volunteers in areas where there has been deforestation. We have chosen to restore forests in British Columbia for now (due to all of our fires and floods) for those who are completing our “Read Across Canada” reading log program and various areas in Africa for our “Read Across the World” reading log program!

About Mind Growth Education
Mind Growth Education makes reading fun! Isabelle Baril founded Mind Growth Education in 2018, after recognizing a gap in schools worldwide to promote literacy and social studies. Mind Growth Education is a global mission-driven EduTech company that offers a gamified reading minute tracker/reward platform to motivate learners to read on a daily basis, building skills to last a lifetime and increase their time recreationally reading – providing a wonderful alternative to video games and social media. Currently, we have developed the following two reading log programs: “Read Across Canada” and “Read Across the World” and are currently selling in Canada and other parts of the world. During her first year in business, Isabelle recognized a huge need for an easier and educational way to fundraise money for schools, non-profit organizations, sport teams, etc.; therefore she created Mind Growth Education’s Read-A-Thon Fundraising Program. We host our unique Read-A-Thon reading log fundraising events all over the nation (small to large scale) using our reading log programs. To learn more, visit www.mindgrowtheducation.com.
