Step #1 REGISTER

Rally your friends, your schools, your parent association, your school’s leadership team, your sports team or your organization together to create a group!

Step #2 PLAN

Set a date for your event and let us know. It could be at your schools, with your sporting team or just you and your besties at home!

STEP #3 set goals

Figure out which challenge you would like to do and if you would like to raise a specific amount for your cause.

Challenge #1: For every dollar raised, one minute is to be read

Challenge #2: Can you read across Canada or the World in just two weeks?

N.B. Schools – Not wanting to involve teachers, no problem! Ask us how!

STEP #4 SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

Get the word out to your friends and family and tell everyone about this “Read-A-Thon” Fundraising event. Ask them to support this school by making a contribution towards a class!

It’s as easy as asking 5 people for $10, 2 people for $25, or any combination you can think of!

STEP #5 READ
Start reading and logging in those minutes to reach your reading goal!
STEP #6 Read the rewards

You are doing an amazing thing for a good cause; therefore, we would like to reward your group. Every participant will receive a reward once they’ve completed their reading challenge!

Testimonials

“Thank you again for such a successful event! Your software and all the set up made it so easy to coordinate, and the students LOVED the travelling avatars across Canada! Based on the feedback I have heard from the staff I think this may become an annual event!” – Lindsay S., School Council Chair, Lethbridge, AB. Children Of St. Martha’s Read-A-Thon

“I would encourage parents, teachers, anyone with some influence over youth to have a Read-A-Thon with Mind Growth Education. When you have kind, compassionate people behind the scenes doing it for the right reasons, you really can’t go wrong. You will walk away from your virtual event feeling as though you have done good, contributed to a good cause. You will walk away from your virtual event with youth who have read more than they maybe have in a long time, with inspiration to continue to read more. My personal experience is one of the most memorable events in my son’s life. He raised $5,000 for an incredible foundation. We had a lot of laughs, reading time together, and we grew even closer!” – Louise Burns, parent, Brampton, ON
